Lutheran Medical Center EMS has a team of multilingual, highly trained physicians who work directly with trauma specialists to provide emergency care to residents of Brooklyn.  The trauma center treats approximately 130 critically ill patients every year. 

More than 50,000 patients visit the medical center’s emergency department every year, while its EMTs and paramedics respond to more than 17,000 patient calls per year.  The facility has been named a level I trauma center and a regional stroke center.
