Founded in 1992, Park Slope Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. provides life-saving emergency services to Park Slope and the surrounding area. All members of the staff are highly trained medical personnel and certified EMTs. 

The PSVAC operates three ambulances, including one with four-wheel capability that allows it to operate on the off-road terrain at Prospect Park.  The PSVAC is an entirely volunteer service, and patients without insurance are not charged.
