New York Presbyterian Hospital EMS offers state-of-the-art care to residents of New York City in three locations: New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, at East 68th Street; New York Presbyterian/Columbia at West 168th Street; and the Allen Pavilion at Broadway and 220th.
The Weill Cornell location is a 911 receiving hospital, a level I trauma center, a psychiatric receiving hospital and burn center. They see 17,000 patients a year who may be later admitted to the hospital for further treatment.
The Columbia location has four departments: an adult emergency department, an UrgiCare center, a pediatric emergency department and a psychiatry department. More than 137,000 patients are treated at the location every year. UrgiCare treats 13,000 walk-ins and the pediatric department treats 47,000 children.
The Allen Pavilion serves northern Manhattan and the Bronx 24 hours a day. It offers a FastTrack program for patients with minor injuries. The Allen Pavilion sees 34,000 patients a year, 6,300 of whom are later admitted to the hospital.
