The Bay Community Volunteer Ambulance Corp, founded in 1968, provides free emergency care and transport to the Bay Terrace, East Clearview and Fort Totten communities. The BCVA operates two modern ambulances, staffed with New York State-certified Emergency Medical Technicians and fully equipped with the latest technology. 

BCVA ambulances operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday through Friday and 24 hours on weekends. The ambulance service also provides CPR and first aid courses to local residents.
