The Flushing Hospital Medical Center EMS operates adult and pediatric emergency departments at Flushing Hospital Medical Center. Open 24 hours a day, the facility serves all kinds of emergency patients, including those experiencing medical, surgical and OB/GYN emergencies. 

There is a separate cardiac response unit for a quick response to heart attack patients and a Fast Track service for patients with minor injuries. 

The emergency department also operates a 24-hour emergency service that participates in the New York City Emergency Medical Services 911 system.
