Founded more than 33 years ago, the Glendale Volunteer Ambulance Corps provides emergency treatment and transportation for anyone in the Glendale area at no cost.  In addition, the GVAC offers non-emergency medical transportation for residents and loans out – free of charge – medical equipment such as crutches, walkers, wheelchairs and canes. 

More than 50 senior members and a handful of junior members belong to GVAC. 

The Corps owns two ambulances which are staffed by at least two New York State-certified Emergency Medical Technicians.
