New York Hospital Queens EMS treats more than 100,000 patients every year in the emergency department.  The hospital is a level I trauma center, a designated stroke center and a designated emergency heart station that offers urgent angioplasty “clot busting” medications as well as heart surgery.  There is also a Fast Track at the emergency department, which allows patients with minor injuries and illnesses to be seen quickly.
